built upon a layered background of playing cards, this contemporary mixed-media artwork explores the fragile boundary between love, trust and deception.
The playing cards are used as a metaphor for the games people sometimes play within relationships — manipulation, dishonesty, strategy and emotional uncertainty. When love is built upon these foundations, genuine intimacy becomes almost impossible. Trust, belonging and the feeling of being truly connected to another person cannot flourish where deception exists beneath the surface.
Against this symbolic background, a large blue heart and repeated fragments of the word *LOVE* attempt to emerge. Yet the image deliberately refuses perfection. Rough lines, dripping acrylic paint, fragmented surfaces and chaotic marks disrupt the romantic symbolism of the heart.
This visual tension reflects the central idea of the work: love may be visible, spoken and repeatedly declared, but if its foundations are corrupted, it can never become whole.
The deliberately raw aesthetic combines elements of contemporary art, mixed media, acrylic painting, collage and urban-inspired expression, transforming the familiar symbols of playing cards and the heart into a psychological reflection on modern relationships.
